HQ Festivus
Hello quilters!
We are excited to share the dates for Christmas in July – HQ Festivus, a 3-day longarm quilting celebration this July. Many quilters are getting their Christmas quilts started (or, at least, their Christmas fabric purchased!), and we’re excited to kickoff this special time of year with demos and project ideas.
We’ll start each day at 10AM MT, take a break for lunch, and then be back with more fun projects and tips at 1PM!
Streaming will begin each day at 10AM MT, and you can join by heading to the Handi Quilter YouTube or Facebook page.

Monday, July 28th | Which longarm is right for me?
PLUS, quilting tutorials with Kelly and Sandy!
For the first day of Christmas in July – HQ Festivus, we are dividing the day in TWO sections.
Morning – Sarah & Kelly | Starting at 10AM MT
For our morning segment, Sarah Watts, VP of Product & Brand, and Kelly Ashton, RSM, will give you a Grand Tour of Longarm Machines, sharing fun facts and tidbits about how they were developed, and what you need to think about when it comes to comparing machines.
Both Sarah and Kelly are avid longarm quilters who contributed greatly to the development of these machines, and they’re excited to share their expertise with you!
Afternoon – Christmas Projects with Sandy and Kelly
During the afternoon, we will have demos taught by Sandy Rindlesbach, HQ National Educator, and Kelly Ashton, RSM. Sandy will be joined by Heidi Helm, Sr. Graphic Designer at Handi Quilter.

Tuesday, July 29th | Fun Features & Christmas Gifts on the Longarm with Shauna
Morning – Shauna & Kim | Starting at 10AM MT
For our morning segment, Shauna Westergard of LadyBug Threads and Kim Sandberg will share their favorite features on each HQ longarm — and a few of their favorite buttons on Pro-Stitcher! Kim and Shauna are going to discuss features on the Moxie and Amara families.
This is a great session for new longarm quilters, as well as quilters with more experience, to learn more about their machines.
Afternoon Projects | Starting at 1PM MT
In the afternoon, Shauna and her assistant Garla, will take you through a few fun projects on the longarm!

On the last day of Christmas in July – HQ Festivus, Shauna, Kim, and Barbie of The Quilting Mill will show you how you can customize clothing and other projects with Pro-Stitcher! They’ll be joined by Kim Sandberg, Education Manager, in the afternoon.
