What Our Quilters Say about Handi Quilter

“Excellent service and education from A Stitch In Time Inc. they went over and above when we first approached the both at the Minnesota Quilt Show in 2024 and haven’t stopped since!”

Michelle Gale

“I had practiced on some prior and had been watching pricing. I just couldn’t see sending my tops to get quilted and pay a lot. I got everything I wanted.”

Cathy Kracker

“But customer service kept me with them. Hands down the best customer service I’ve ever had with a company. Won’t ever leave.”

Suzanne Lavanaway

“I like how it [Handi Quilter longarm] moved in my hands compared to the others. Had a much smoother feel.”

Sharon Heeres

“I’ve owned a HandiQuilter for about 20 years. I started with one of the original HQ16’s and eventually bought an Avante floor model from my rep, The Quilting Connection, in Elkhorn, WI. They’re wonderful people! I wanted to be able to say that I made the entire quilt, and after trying many machines at a Sewing Expo in Rosemont, IL, made my final decision that HandiQuilter would be the one. The price, the handling, the sound and knowing it would be seen from my dining room, the looks. I’ve never regretted it! The only thing I regret is that I can’t clone myself so I can create the quilt tops and quilt them at the same time! LOL”

Laurel Barrus

“I decided I was going to build it myself.”

Laurel Barrus has always loved sewing, so it’s no surprise that she’s the creative force behind Handi Quilter. The idea was born out of a personal need: she wanted to take a machine quilting frame to her family cabin but couldn’t find anything portable enough. So, like any determined maker, she built one herself!
