Vanessa Vargas Wilson, widely recognized as The Crafty Gemini, is an award-winning quilter, designer and educator known for her clear and engaging teaching style. With a background as a college law professor, Vanessa transitioned to entrepreneurship and established a successful creative business focused on making sewing and quilting accessible to individuals of all skill levels.

Her YouTube channel, TheCraftyGemini, boasts over 698,000 subscribers and has accumulated 77 million views globally. The channel features a vast array of free tutorials covering topics such as quilting, bag making, garment sewing and homesteading.

Her work has been featured on ABC’s 20/20, the New York Times, ABC World News, Fox News Latino, Parents Latina, Modern Patchwork, Quilty, Quiltfolk, etc. She has also been a guest instructor on the PBS crafting shows It’s Sew Easy, Sew It All, and Knit & Crochet Now!

In addition to her creative endeavors, Vanessa serves as a business coach, assisting other creatives in enhancing their online visibility and attracting paying customers through video content and social media strategies. She has taught business courses and given lectures at h+h americas.

Vanessa also helps run Crafty Gemini Youth Development, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that focuses on providing development and training opportunities for youth and senior citizens through the arts, farming, and athletics. As a first-generation American and native Spanish speaker, Vanessa holds both a Bachelor of Arts and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida. She resides on a 5-acre organic homestead in North Central Florida with her husband, two teenagers and a bunch of dogs, cats, cows, sheep, and free-range chickens.
