Handi Quilter had the pleasure of sponsoring an exhibition of the Patchwork Guild of Germany. “Tradition bis Moderne” or Traditional to Modern was on display at the European Patchwork Meeting in Ste Marie aux Mines. The Patchworkgilde Deutschland e.V. promotes and maintains the art of patchwork, quilting and textile arts and crafts. It offers its members a journal, exhibitions, courses, further education and up-and-coming work. The patchwork guild was founded in 1985 and today it has a total of approx. 6,000 members. The collection of quilts was varied and beautiful.
I will let it speak for itself, this is merely a sampling of the quilts on display.
