HQ + EQ = Contest

The contest is now over. Thank you to the more than 700 people who left comments congratulating Electric Quilt on their 25th anniversary.

The winner of the copy of Electric Quilt is Debbie St. Germain. We congratulate her and know she will love being able to design with Electric Quilt. Debbie has a blog herself called Woolen Sails.

 

Everyone here at Handi Quilter congratulates Electric Quilt on their 25th anniversary! We are equally pleased to be part of their celebration by hosting a contest where one Handi Quilter blog reader will win a copy of Electric Quilt 7 (EQ7) — their popular quilt design software.

Just imagine being able to use your computer to design and lay out a quilt — complete with images of the fabrics you’ll use. What’s more, you can then print out a detailed list of how much fabric you’ll need, fabric cutting instructions, templates, foundation-piecing patterns, and more! EQ7 has certainly revolutionized and simplified the quilt-design process.

To be part of the fun and hopefully be the lucky winner, all you need to do is make a comment on this blog post congratulating Electric Quilt on their momentous silver anniversary. The contest runs from October 10th at 9:00 AM eastern time through October 25th at 9:00 AM eastern time

  5. Congratulations on achieving you 25th Anniversary, I hope there will be 25 more. I love Electric Quilt, though I am currently using Electric Quilt 5, I am saving up to get Electric Quilt 7. Happy Happy anniversary. Would really love to win Electric Quilt 7.

  15. Congrats to EQ7 for 25 wonderful years (My husband and I will celebrate our silver anniversary and 25 years of happiness on October 26th of this year!). EQ7 has been an integral part of my quilt life for the past many years. Now, as a quilt pattern designer, it is even more important than ever. And a second copy of EQ7 would be put into a real good use! Congrats and let’s celebrate together!

  112. Twenty five years of EQ….I must be getting old too! Seems like I have always been able to use EQ. So much better since us Mac users can use it natively too…just love it.

  118. Happy Silver Anniversary, EQ! I started out with the original Electric Quilt, and it continues to be one of the best software products out there, all the way from interface quality to customer support. I’ve had so much fun and confidence-building from EQ, all the way up through EQ7. Designing and planning my quilts in EQ first has saved me a ton of time and money in every phase, such as knowing how much fabric to buy before cutting a single piece. Once upon a time, I even submitted a bug report and got a reply from Penny herself! That was totally cool, I have to say. Rock on, EQ.
    If I should win EQ7, I’m giving it to my daughter, a newly minted quilter who has finished her first quilt and is raring to go. 🙂

  130. Congratulation on 25 years of helping all quilters!! I have a Sweet 16 and love it. It has saved me thousands in quilting fees, plus I feel so much better about completing the whole project myself.

  187. Happy Silver Anniversary. I have an EQ7 but my daughter is now learning to quilt and has a few under her belt. She and I just designed her sister in laws wedding quilt via emails back and forth to get just what she was looking for. It would be fun to give her her own EQ,
