TRACY HANNAY
Tracy taught herself to sew and quilt after learning in High School. She was the Sterling Scholar recipient in Home Economics in her Senior Year. A few years later, she began sewing clothes for herself and her children and learned to quilt and has been piecing together quilts for over 30 years.
Tracy loves all different types of crafts. Painting, knitting, crocheting, weaving, etc. There isn’t anything she isn’t willing to try. Twelve years ago, Tracy tried Long Arm quilting on her Mother-In-Law’s Handi Quilter 16, and there was no turning back. She bought her first HQ16 in 2014 and graduated to the Amara in 2017. She has had a love for free-motion quilting from the beginning. She added the ProStitcher on her machine a few years ago and quickly knew there had to be more to it than edge-to-edge. She jumped right into figuring out how to do custom designs to make the quilts unique and one of a kind. She has been teaching classes both in group and private. She is a member of various quilt guilds and works with different charity organizations donating quilts for those in need.
Tracy loves enjoying the outdoors—boating, riding side-by-sides, and camping with her family. She has 3 children and 8 grandchildren.
