Shauna Westergard

Shauna Westergard is a mother of four with her tech husband. She is a Colorado transplant that loves living in the mountains and Mountain Dew. She grew up in a family of quilters and remembers playing under the quilting frames while the aunts stitched on quilts for bridal showers. Shauna graduated from Weber State University with a BA in Child and Family Studies with an emphasis in Communication. She is fluent in American Sign Language and plays the piano and violin.

She considers herself to be an “accidental longarm quilter”, because she inherited her longarm before she had ever finished piecing a quilt top. Once she got the longarm set up she jumped in with both feet and quilted over 60 projects in the first year she had the longarm. She is a pattern designer that loves teaching the beginner quilter and has created a Block of the Month group to help quilters develop their skills. She is constantly positive and bubbly, which is a perfect attribute when teaching new quilters to love and master new techniques.

Shauna loves free motion quilting and really enjoys working with Pro-Stitcher™. She excels with testing tension, planning quilt path designs, keeping quilts square and straight, and knowing the ins and outs of owning a longarm. She loves quilting and is excited to share the joy of creating with your customers.
