Sarah is a commercial pilot turned professional longarm quilter and designer. By the time Sarah was five years old, she knew how to cross stitch, crochet, and sew a running stitch thanks to the influence of her mother and grandmother. She did not discover her love of quilting, however, until 2014 while living in southwest Oklahoma. Being married to a military man, she has lived in multiple states and never settled into a career post pilot life. That is, until she found her outlet to design and create through textiles.
Growing up as a self-proclaimed math geek, Sarah is able to put her keen math skills to use through quilt design. Her work has been featured at Fall Quilt Market 2015, QuiltCon 2016, Spring Quilt Market 2016, and in various designer blog hops. She is known extensively for her unique free motion quilting style, which she calls Sketchbook Quilting. Currently, she quilts on the HQ Avanté and just added the HQ Pro-Stitcher and HQ Sweet Sixteen to her studio line up.
Sarah is beyond thrilled to travel and share her love and knowledge of quilting with you. While not on the road teaching classes or workshops, you can find her in her home studio in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia with her husband. She also enjoys playing with her boxer, working with her thoroughbred, teaching at the nearby university wellness center, and running and hiking.
