Mary Beth Krapil has been an avid sewer since childhood, teaching quilting classes since 1998. Her goal is to share her knowledge and passion for quilting. She loves teaching the basics to new quilters and also enjoys introducing new techniques and ideas to experienced quilters.
Traveling worldwide, Mary Beth teaches longarm quilting at major shows both in the US and international venues. She conducts events at numerous retail shops, longarm clubs, and guilds. She has appeared on Quilt It, The Longarm Quilting Show on QNNtv, and the HQ Live show. An expert on Pro-Stitcher®, Mary Beth is a skilled Pro-Stitcher Designer™ instructor as well. Sharing the joys of computerized quilting and digitizing with quilt makers of all skill levels, Mary Beth makes it fun and easy for anyone to learn. Along with teaching, Mary Beth manages Handi Quilter’s social media channels and writes the HQ blog. And you can find her digitized quilting designs on quiltable.com
She started longarm quilting on a non-stitch-regulated HQ 16® in 2004, then moved to a HQ Avanté® with Pro-Stitcher and now quilts on a HQ Infinity® with Pro-Stitcher and also on her HQ Sweet Sixteen® stationary machine. She loves to add ruler work and free motion designs to enhance Pro-Stitcher quilting. Mary Beth does her piecing with the HQ Stitch 510™ machine and takes her trusty HQ Stitch 210™ to retreats and classes. She loves her HQ Stitch 710™ for bag making and other sewing tasks. Her quilts have won awards at many local, national and international shows. Several of her quilts have been published in national magazines and books.
Mary Beth lives in a small town in North Carolina with her husband. They enjoy being close to their grandchildren and two sons, keeping chickens, gardening and cooking.
