Longarm Business Week:

Hello quilter!

Over the last few months, we have seen a LOT of questions in the Handi Quilter Community Facebook Group about starting a longarm quilting business.  Seeing these questions, we decided it would be a wonderful idea to invite our community members to join us for Longarm Business Week, taking place virtually from November 19th to November 21, 2024.

Longarm Business Week is designed to answer your questions, connect you with resources, and help you build your confidence to start a longarm quilting business.

We’re excited to hear from successful longarm business owners, who built longarm quilting businesses to help them each reach their goals! There is no one right way to start a longarm quilting business, after all!

Longarm Business Week – Schedule

Below, we’ve shared the schedule for the week:

  • November 19th: Kim Sandberg and Shauna Wstergard will start us off, sharing how they built their confidence to each open a longarm quilting business, and how they each got customers! They’ll share their triumphs and lessons learned on how to start and sustain a successful longarm quilting business.
  • November 20th:  This evening is all about SET UP! Kristina Whitney will share her checklists and tips to get you started off right in your new business. Kristina will also answer questions about custom quilting services verses edge-to-edge!
  • November 21st:  This evening will be all about GROWING your successful business! Diann Loper will share how she grew her longarm quilting business to over $100,000 a year, as well as lessons she learned along the way.

How to Join?

Sessions will start at 6PM Mountain Time on Microsoft Teams.

On Sunday, November 17th, we will send out an email with the links to our evening chats.  Each call will have an hour presentation, followed by a Q&A.  While we do plan on recording the calls, please note that technical difficulties can arise! We recommend joining the call LIVE.
