We’re excited to announce Premium Workshops and Experiences at Handi Quilter Academy 2025! These workshops are opportunities for quilters to sharpen skills in areas outside of their selected tracks.
The Premium Workshops and Experiences are designed to build out the shorter “Skill Builders” from years past. We are excited to be able to incorporate feedback from past attendees into our offerings this year!

Join Megan Best as she teaches you how to take a digital embroidery file, use PS Designer to convert it, then stitch it out with Pro-Stitcher. You will get the chance to take the design from start to stitched! All files for the class will be included.
Breakfast & Lunch are included on Tuesday, June 24, with this workshop.
A personal laptop with both Pro-Stitcher in Simulation and PS Designer installed with a trackpad or wired mouse (we recommend NOT bringing your Pro-Stitcher tablet), and a laptop charger will be required for this workshop.

Looking for a fun easy project to complete on your longarm? Join Mary Yoder as she walks you through her simple method to stitch out a bag on the longarm using Pro-Stitcher. All supplies for the class are included.

Barbie Mills, of The Quilting Mill, will teach you her method for creating digital pantographs using PS Designer. In this course you will learn how to create your own pantographs and know they will stitch out exactly how you want them to. We’ll cover what makes a “good” pantograph and how to achieve that. Do you ever try to combine lines and suddenly you have jump stitches everywhere? You’ll learn what to do about it and how to prevent it next time.Â

Join MJ Kinman and learn how to use value and saturation contrast to bring sparkle and drama to your quilts. This is a class filled with time to experiment and build on lessons learned.

Start your quilting adventure with a trip to the This is the Place Monument, where you’ll get to experience a special antique quilt collection. A lunch will be provided, then you’ll hop to a few quilt shops as you make your way back to the Davis Conference Center in time for the welcome dinner and keynote speaker that evening. Kaye Collins, a Handi Quilter National Educator, will host this fun experience.

A: Yes, all meals will be provided on June 24, 2025, to those who sign up for a Premium Experience or Workshop.
A: An attendee can cancel their Premium Workshop or Experience by 11:59 pm MT March 1, 2025, for a full refund. After 11:59 pm MT on March 1, 2025, attendees can transfer their registration upon payment of a $250 transfer fee to another Handi Quilter retreat in the next 12 months up to 11:59 pm MT May 31st, 2025. No refund or transfer will be available after 11:59 pm MT May 31st, 2025. We encourage attendees to purchase separate travel / event insurance coverage.
A: Spots will be offered on a first-come basis. We encourage quilters to be ready to register when registration opens, but we cannot guarantee spots.
