Handi Quilter Academy has been a beloved part of the quilting community for over a decade, held every year in Layton, Utah. In 2026, the Handi Quilter Education Team is taking time to reimagine this and other in-person quilting education events.
We understand this news is disappointing. Handi Quilter is the leader in longarm education, and we are working to reimagine new events for 2027 and beyond.
While we do that work, we encourage you to review options for in-person longarm education shared below:
Your Handi Quilter retailer is the expert in longarm quilting! Many retailers would love to host a dedicated longarm quilting retreat, but they need to hear from YOU, their customers, that you would like to have a retreat.
Fox Country Quilts is a Handi Quilter retailer in Texas, with a dedicated retreat center that hosts many Pro-Stitcher events for all skill levels. View those events HERE!
Handi Quilter also holds classes across North America at various quilt shows. We encourage you to look for classes at Road to California, AQS Quilt Week, Houston Quilt Festival, and other shows!
Many Handi Quilter National Educators offer lessons over Zoom or in-person. Private lessons are managed by the HQ National Educator directly and range from $125 to $150 per hour. Below, we’ve shared their bio pages, and you can reach out to a National Educator via social media or their website.
