Round Top Zippered Pouch AND Christmas Stocking – Great fun! work on the Christmas Stocking and the Round Top Zippered Pouch in class. You will receive the design and area for both in class. In class we will discuss open and closed edges; and how to use more than one area to personalize your creations. After stitching, you will take your item home to finish up on your domestic sewing machine. All instructions are included in the handout.
Supplies:
Mini Make-Up Bag
10” or longer zipper
10” x 16” for the outer bag (a fat quarter will yield two)
Backing: enough so that two bags can be stitched within the same frame space without advancing.
Batting: enough so that two bags can be stitched within the same frame space without advancing.
Christmas Stocking
14” x WOF for outside of stocking
Batting – enough so that one stocking can be stitched within the frame space and then advancing for the second student. No backing for this project…it will not show in the final project. No need to load the machines…students will load the batting as backing – this may be a new concept for them. They will also need to adjust their tension as there will only be two layers loaded.
Students will finish at home with their domestic sewing machines:
1/2 yard x WOF for lining and hanging loop
6” x 16-1/2” for cuff
