The Moxie is ideal for beginners or small spaces with its 8-foot Loft Frame and lighter build. The Moxie XL adds a larger throat space and expanded features, giving quilters more room for larger patterns and king-size quilts while still remaining approachable and budget-friendly.
The Amara 20 has a 20″ throat space and runs smoothly on 10–12 ft frames, making it a versatile option for most quilters. The Amara 24 expands the throat to 24″, which significantly increases your quilting area per pass—reducing fabric advances and making complex or large-scale quilting more efficient, especially when your add a Pro-Stitcher system.
The Amara ST is a sit-down longarm version of the Amara line. Instead of moving the machine over the quilt on a frame, the quilt stays stationary on a table while you guide the fabric to stitch out designs. It’s great for quilters who prefer a sit-down experience or have limited space but want the stitching power of a longarm.
The HQ Infinity is Handi Quilter’s flagship model with a 26″ throat space, premium stitch regulation, customizable controls, and high-speed performance. It’s designed for professional quilters or those who want maximum space, precision, and advanced capabilities.
All frame mounted machines—including Moxie XL, Amara 20, Amara 24, and Infinity—are Pro-Stitcher-ready. The sit-down models are not compatible with Pro-Stitcher systems. If you want automation now or later, choose a Pro-Stitcher-compatible machine.
Space needs depend on the frame you choose.
General guidelines:
8 ft frame (Loft) – approx. 10 ft × 6 ft
10 ft frame (Studio/Gallery) – approx. 12 ft × 7 ft
12 ft frame (Studio/Gallery) – approx. 14 ft × 7 ft
You should also leave room at the front and back for quilting movement and maintenance access. Sit-down models like the Amara ST fit in much smaller sewing-room footprints.
All HQ longarms include high-quality stitch regulation. Higher-end machines like the Amara 24 and Infinity offer more refined sensors and additional modes for smoother performance at higher speeds. This improves stitch consistency, especially during detailed or custom quilting.

Larger frames allow more quilting room and support automation add-ons like Pro-Stitcher.
Yes. With its full frame setup, the Moxie can quilt up to king-size projects. Higher-end models like the Amara 24 or Infinity simply reduce the number of fabric advances needed because of their larger throat spaces, making them more efficient for frequent large-scale quilting.
