Linda Gosselin learned to sew, knit and crochet at a very young age. She has been piecing quilts since the great American Bicentennial quilt revival. After learning about quilting services available at a local quilt shop, she pieced a scrappy Triple Irish Chain quilt top and dropped it off for longarm quilting. After seeing the magic the stitches created on her quilt, she knew she wanted her own longarm!
Linda’s journey in longarm quilting began in 2005, when she walked into a quilt shop and, across the room, saw a HQ Sixteen®. It was love at first sight and she bought it on the spot! After completing many quilts with free motion and ruler work, she added the Pro-Stitcher®. Several years later, she sold her original setup and purchased a HQ Fusion® with Pro-Stitcher. Today, she quilts on an HQ Amara® with Pro-Stitcher and has added digitizing patterns which are available on Quiltable.com.
Having a background as an IT professional, Linda easily combines her love of Pro-Stitcher and Pro-Stitcher Studio™ as well as HQ Designer™. She loves to “wow” her customers by showing them a digital image of their own quilt. Together, they audition quilting designs and thread color options before the customer leaves the studio.
Linda has won many awards for her quilts. She teaches both in-person and virtually for Handi Quilter and privately. Free motion, ruler work, Pro-Stitcher Premium, HQ Designer and HQ Catalog, beginner to advanced classes, for groups or individuals. She loves sharing her passion for all things “quilty!” She quilts professionally, for charities, and FUN. Linda also enjoys teaching adults and children how to make a quilt.
Linda is the administrator of a Facebook group called Pro-Stitcher People. Mother of two, grandmother of three, she lives with her husband Phil in central Massachusetts.
