ASSISTANT CONTROLLER

SCHEDULED HOURS: FULL-TIME, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5 PM

Required Skills:

  • Very detailed, thorough, and accurate
  • Good at resolving problems – especially as they relate to reconciling general ledger accounts and inventory
  • Ability to continually improve processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, etc.)
  • Computer skills and experience required (MS Excel, understanding and ability to use Accounting/ERP systems)
  • Experience/knowledge of inventory including receiving, Bill of Material, labor tracking, reconciliations, etc.)
  • Understanding of Accounting processes and procedures and minimum of 4 years’ progressive accounting experience including monthly closing processes and reconciling general ledger accounts (i.e. how entries impact financials, prepaids, reconciliations, etc.)
  • Month-end financial reconciliations
  • Ability to continually improve process and assist team members with process improvement
  • Willingness to pitch in anywhere as needed
  • Additional responsibilities for Assistant Controller include:
  • Working with other teams and brands within the company
  • Answering telephone calls related to accounting
  • Filing and general accounting organization
  • Assistance with annual accounting/financials audit
  • Inventory reconciling
  • Other duties as designated
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred or equivalent years of experience.

SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT / QUALITY ENGINEER

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work with suppliers to develop advance product quality and manufacturing planning for the projects of U.S. transferred product and/or new development
  • Manage the projects timely and effectively through coordinating with the U.S. team and the suppliers to ensure flawless launch
  • Conduct supplier assessment in terms of quality system and manufacturing processes and follow up with improvement plan
  • Create the measurable KPIs/Scorecards to monitor and improve the supplier’s performance continuously
  • Work with suppliers to identify the root causes and solve the quality and technical problems

Qualification:

  • More than 3 years of supplier/product development and quality experience
  • Excellent Chinese/Mandarin conversational skills regarding technical topics in electrical, mechanical and software engineering
  • Manufacturing background preferred
  • Bachelor of Engineering or above (Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical, or Automation)
  • Good understanding of problem solving, SPC (statistical process control), FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis), and the control plan and data driven
  • Team player
  • Willing to spend extended times working in China
  • Has a working knowledge of MS Project or related planning software
