MARKETING SPECIALIST

The Marketing Specialist will ensure that our longarm products, services, and product lines resonate with current and potential customers. The Marketing Specialist works closely with senior management and oversees a talented team of designers, and web and video managers.

Together with the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing and executing marketing initiatives and activities for the Handi Quilter brand, including campaigns (print, web, social media, broadcast, etc.), events, and sponsorships. Primary Responsibilities And Accountabilities:

  • Understand the voice of the Quilter to help develop and execute strategic plans
  • Manage cross-functional activities associated with brand development, product launches,lead generation and tracking
  • Manage product development initiatives that include initiation and fulfillment of design briefs for product, packaging and collateral materials.
  • Write marketing copy, edit manuals and documents, help create collateral as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Coordinate closely with the sales and product development teams for product promotions, product launches and product support
  • A willingness to listen, comprehend, and think creatively and innovatively
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • BS Degree in marketing or business; equivalent combination of education and added work experience considered
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in marketing (experience in a quilting or crafting environment is a plus)
  • Ability to think strategically within a team environment
  • Project management, planning and campaign management skills are critical.
  • Strong analytical skills, business savvy and the ability to multitask.
  • Strong planning, priority setting, interpersonal and cross-functional team management skills
  • Strong MS Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Project.
  • High degree of proficiency with Adobe Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, andFireworks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Budget-management skills and proficiency
  • Professional judgment and discretion that comes from years of experience in the field
  • Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges
  • Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, SEO, drip marketing, production, etc.

GRAPHIC DESIGNER

This position is part of the Marketing & Education Team, reporting to the Director of Marketing at the Handi Quilter office in North Salt Lake, UT. The Graphic Designer role is a full-time, in house position. No remote or freelance workers will be considered.

Required Skills:

  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite Programs, especially InDesign and Illustrator
  • Flexibility and willingness to accomplish tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • BA or BFA, preferably in visual design and/or a strong online design portfolio featuring
  • talents and relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated ability to self-start and manage personal workflow to meet deadlines
