ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

SCHEDULED HOURS: FULL-TIME, Monday – Friday 8AM – 5PM

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

  • High volume of accounts payable transactions and journal entries with accuracy
  • Trial balance reconciliations
  • Month-end process and reconciliation tasks
  • Assisting with financial reporting
  • Working with other departments to resolve accounting related issues
  • Inventory related entries and reconciliations
  • And a variety of other duties as assigned

The successful candidate will have the ability to:

  • Manage competing priorities
  • Maintain an organized workflow
  • Independently solve practical problems and interpret a variety of written and oral
  • instructions
  • Handle highly confidential and sensitive information

Additional requirements:

  • MS Office proficiency, including intermediate Excel skills
  • Familiarity with GAAP accounting principles
  • Accounts payable experience
  • SAGE software experience a plus
  • A minimum of two year’s accounting experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field a plus
  • Upon a conditional offer of employment, a criminal background check will be required

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER / EMBEDDED DEVELOPMENT

SCHEDULED HOURS: FULL-TIME, Monday – Friday 8AM – 5PM

Handi Quilter, the worldwide leader in longarm quilting machines and accessories has an immediate, full-time Electrical Engineer/Embedded Development position available. Handi Quilter is an innovative company that provides quilters with the highest quality products and service. We pride ourselves in having a great work environment. We offer competitive salary and benefits. This position reports to the Engineering Director. A BSEE or BSCS degree is required with a minimum of 2 – 3 current years of experience in an embedded hardware/software design capacity.

Job Duties include:

  • Development of software requirements
  • Development of hardware requirements and schematics
  • Circuit board layout experience a plus, OrCAD/Cadence
  • Hardware debug
  • Embedded software development and debug on target hardware
  • Transition to production – BOM creation, sourcing, and documentation
  • Production support
  • Other duties as assigned

The successful candidate will possess the majority of the abilities listed below:

  • Strong experience with all phases of hardware and software development cycle on embedded systems including design, implementation, and debugging
  • Good problem solving and programming skills and software practice
  • A thorough understanding of C for embedded processors (e.g. ARM, PIC and MSP430)
  • Ability to quickly understand an existing hardware or firmware design and modify it if needed.
  • Experience in System Level Testing of HW/SW – preferred
  • Willing to learn and unafraid to ask questions.
